Description
Scaffolding can be supplemented with your own parts. For each inserted part an instance name can be assigned to further differentiate it.
Your own parts are displayed in a separate tab in the material list and are also included in the reports.
Prerequisites
- Your own parts are available as components (see Create own part).
Steps
- From the command bar, click Open list of items.
The item list is displayed. Under Scaffolding Systems, select user.
Your own components and assemblies are displayed.
If your components are not displayed, check the settings Representation of the components and Language scaffolding systems (see Settings > scaffolding system).If necessary, filter the item list by components or assemblies (Product groups) and by specific search terms (Filter).

The line is highlighted in yellow.
You can also select the component with the left mouse button and dock it to other components if the component has its own click points.- Position the component in the drawing and click the left mouse button.
The component is placed and selected in the drawing. - In the default tray in the Entity Info section, enter a name in the Instance field, e.g. South.
If you only insert one component into the drawing, you do not need to enter anything here. - Click on Material list in the command bar.
A scaffold must be available so that the material list can be displayed. - Click the Own components tab.
- Select a line to highlight a component in the drawing.
If you have inserted your own component into the drawing several times, you can distinguish between them using the instance designation.
Result
You have inserted your own parts in the drawing. The parts are displayed in the material list and are also included in the reports.
