Find duplicate components

Description of the function

The function identifies components that are in an identical position and are therefore visually seen as one component.
When setting up manually, it can happen that a component is accidentally clicked twice when it is set down.
As a result, the component is placed twice in the identical position and the quantities in the material list are not correct.

Requirements

• A manually created framework is available.

Steps

1. Click on Advanced functions in the program bar.
   The scaffmax functions dialog is displayed.

2. Double-click the line Industry | Find duplicate components.
   The Duplicate parts tag is created and all parts (components) of manually created scaffolds that are in an identical position are assigned to the tag.
   As the components are now no longer assigned to the scaffolding tag, they are displayed in the material list in the ± column.

3. If necessary, switch the visibility of the tags accordingly to display only the duplicate components.

4. Delete the Duplicate components tag.

Result

You have identified duplicate components and removed them from the scaffolding tag so that they are no longer counted in the material list.
