Only the visible tags (see description of construction phases) are evaluated. This allows the material list to be filtered. |
Scaffolding system/Construction phase
Depending on the sorting (see menu > sorting), tabs are either displayed for each scaffolding system used or for each construction phase.
Example of sorting by construction phase, one tab for construction phase West and one for construction phase South.
Calculation
Various values for time and costs are displayed here, divided into the groups MATERIAL and TIME.
scaffmax Timer
The list contains all components visible in the drawing (only the tags that are visible are evaluated, see description Construction phases).
The number of visible components is displayed in the [Quantity] column. The column [Time] indicates the current time value for one component.
The column [%] shows the percentage of the component in the total weight of all components.
The components are sorted by weight (column [kg]) in descending order.Initially, so many components are activated in the left column until the sum of all activated components has exceeded 80% of the total weight. The sum of all non-activated components thus corresponds to approx. 20% (80/20 rule).
All activated components are included in the list that can be sent to the server (see Reports> Send timer data to server).
Components can be activated or deactivated by clicking on the checkbox.

Sort the table by clicking on the header in the Time column in order to activate components that may not have been activated due to their weight, but require a lot of time to assemble. |
Times for vertical transport
When calculating the material list, the vertical transport of each individual component is calculated and summed up in the Excel report for each component. The results of the material list, including the vertical transport, are also transferred to scaffmax Netzwerk for further information processing. Vertical in the sense of the timer app means: the distance that the scaffolding component must be moved, NOT the height of the component.
Each component needs a reference to the terrain in order to be able to calculate the height transport. The normal reference point is the XY plane specified by SketchUp, i.e. a Z height of 0. If the scaffolding unit (e.g. a wall) is at this height, the calculation is correct. If the building to be scaffolded or a part of it (wall) is shifted up or down in height, the calculation will be incorrect because the vertical transport value is always calculated from the defined terrain level to the lower edge of the component.
Define ground:
- Draw an area under the scaffolding.
- Select the area and the scaffolding.
- Right-click the selection and choose Make Group from the context menu.
Example Excel report (for drawing above):
- Before defining a ground: Vertical = -6,0 (= 3 planks * 2m)
- After defining a ground: Vertical = 0,0 (since the area under the scaffolding is now used as a reference point for the calculation)
Editing values
The content can be edited by double-clicking on a field in the material list.
Column ±
The column ± in the material list is used for checking. It shows how many components are in the SketchUp drawing that are not in the material list. The missing components can be assigned to tags that are currently switched off (see description of construction phases).
