PDF Importer (Extension PDF2Skp)

Description
With the SketchUp © extension PDF Importer, PDF files can be imported into SketchUp. Use the extension to draw a base area based on a PDF template.
Prerequisites
- The extension is installed.
- The extension is licensed.
- Prerequisite is a SketchUp version from 2018 (on Windows computers).
Steps
- Select File > Import.
- From SketchUp version 2019.2 you can also drag-and-drop a PDF file into the SketchUp window. The import preferences dialog is displayed immediately (see step 6).
- From SketchUp version 2019.2 you can also drag-and-drop a PDF file into the SketchUp window. The import preferences dialog is displayed immediately (see step 6).
- The Import dialog is displayed.
Change to the folder where the PDF file is stored, e.g. C:\PDF. - Set File Type to PDF Importer (einsteinConcept) (*.pdf).
- All PDF files in the folder are displayed.
- Click the Options button below the file name.
- The Pdf2Skp Import - Preferences dialog is displayed.
- Click Accept if you have changed parameters.
- In the Import dialog, select a PDF file and click Import or double-click on a PDF file.
Result
The contents of the PDF file are displayed in SketchUp. The name of the layer (tag) is made up of the parameter Name of the PDF layer(s) and the page number:
- The vector data is displayed on layer-name_page number, for example Layer_1.
- PDF content as images is displayed on layer-name_image_page number, for example Layer_image_1.
