With the Part function under the scaffmax functions | Advanced features, you can create your own parts and assemblies. Both are first drawn or modeled with SketchUp and saved as new components for use in scaffmax. Assemblies can be put together from your own parts and items from the item list.

Your own parts and assemblies are displayed in the Material list under the tab of the same name.
Instances - Additional differentiation options for components / assemblies
With the help of the instance designation, several individual parts/assemblies can be distinguished from one another in a drawing.
